Gretsch Guitars has announced a special collaboration, introducing the limited edition boygenius Broadkaster Jr guitar, a signature model celebrating the acclaimed indie supergroup boygenius, featuring Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker. This exciting release, now available for pre-order via the band’s official website, brings together Gretsch’s rich guitar-making heritage with the innovative and influential artistry of boygenius.
This new Boygenius Guitar from Gretsch is equipped with Electromatic Filter’Tron pickups, known for their powerful and articulate sound, and features a vintage-style Gretsch trapeze tailpiece. The guitar boasts unique custom design elements that resonate with the band’s aesthetic, including distinctive boygenius-themed fretboard inlays and a nickel head badge that proudly displays the band members’ signatures alongside their logo. Presented in a sophisticated black finish, the Broadkaster Jr has a comfortable, compact body and omits a Bigsby tremolo, maintaining a streamlined design. Importantly, it incorporates full-size Filter’Tron pickups, carefully selected to meet Boygenius’s specifications, ensuring both playability and affordability for a wider range of musicians.
