My Dream Warlock Electric Guitar: Finally Got My B.C. Rich

From a young age, music has been a significant part of my life. Over the years, my collection of instruments has grown and evolved, but one electric guitar always remained on my wishlist: the B.C. Rich Warlock.

I vividly remember the first time I saw a Warlock Electric Guitar as a teenager. It was an instant attraction. I knew right then that someday I had to own one. Although I wasn’t a skilled guitar player at the time, the desire stuck with me. Years later, while I might still only be able to manage a few chords, I finally have that B.C. Rich Warlock I’ve always dreamed of!

This beauty is a B.C. Rich Warlock NJ series, and based on the serial number – which, admittedly, B.C. Rich has changed formats for quite a few times – I believe it dates back to 1992. What truly captivated me about this particular Warlock electric guitar was the stunning deep blue finish that highlights the natural wood grain underneath. It reminded me instantly of that very first Warlock that caught my eye, possessing a similar rare and striking look. You see, most Warlocks tend to be finished in solid black or red, making this blue one feel extra special.

Considering its age and the fact that Warlocks are often associated with high-energy, thrashing styles of music, this guitar is in remarkably good condition. It just needed a thorough cleaning and a minor fix to a loose bridge post – an easy repair. Since these initial photos were taken, I’ve given it an even more thorough polish, and it’s really shining now.

To help identify the history and specific model of this B.C. Rich electric guitar, I found these resources incredibly useful:
