The Kona Steel Guitar Festival is proudly presented by the Hawaii Institute for Music Enrichment and Learning Experiences (HIMELE), the Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa, and in association with Ke Kula Mele Hawai’i School of Hawaiian Music. Historically, the Kona Steel Guitar Festival has been timed to precede the Aloha Music Camp, enhancing the musical journey for camp participants. However, with the Aloha Music Camp concluding after 2025, the Kona Steel Guitar Festival will also be placed on hiatus following the 2025 event. This makes the upcoming festival an especially significant occasion to celebrate this unique musical tradition before its temporary pause.
